In its 36th season, the Truro Farmers Market is home to over 40 vendors each Saturday from April to December. Located in the historic fire hall building, the market is a vibrant gathering place in the heart of the community. It features fresh, local produce, baked goods, specialty crafts, delicious foods to eat on site or take home, NS beer and spirits, meats, cheese, eggs, honey, seafood, flowers, plants and more! Join us for music, children’s activities and one stop shopping at this energetic, friendly market.

Need a place to meet?

The Market Hall is available for rental on non-market days.


Do you like homemade jams and jellies? Well, why not think outside the bottle and try your favourite jam in a new way! Mike Bishop from Helen B's Preserves suggests using jam or jelly in marinades for meats - just replace the other sweetener with the jam. They are also great in salad dressings or between layers of cake or to sandwich two cookies together. For a different summer treat, drop a spoonful of jam in your favourite cocktail - awesome! ...
