In its 36th season, the Truro Farmers Market is home to over 40 vendors each Saturday 9am – 1pm. Located in the historic fire hall building, the market is a vibrant gathering place in the heart of the community. This winter season features high quality storage produce, local greens and sprouts, baked goods, specialty crafts, delicious foods to eat on site or take home, NS beer and spirits, meats, cheese, eggs and more! Join us for live music and one stop shopping at this energetic, friendly market.

Green Schools Nova Scotia, an environmental education non-profit organization, is coming to you at the Truro Farmer’s Market!

Greens Schools equip young people to steward a changing world, inspiring sustainability leadership. Did you know that the most efficient “fuel” is energy efficiency? Actions as small as turning off the lights can have a big impact!

On Saturday, February 25, a local Green Schools Engagement Officer will be at the Market. Not only will we answer your energy efficiency questions, we will demo some fun green activities. This is an opportunity for you to learn about the great FREE programs and services Efficiency Nova Scotia offers that can help you waste less energy and money.
