Truro Farmers’ Market
OPEN Saturdays
The Truro Farmers’ Market Cooperative operates YEAR ROUND at 15 Young Street in Truro, Nova Scotia. We are a certified farmers’ market with Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia, which means our vendors ‘make it, bake it, grow it’ themselves. We are proud to have a wide variety of offerings each week from our cooperative member vendors and casual vendors. Find produce, meats, eggs, cheese, fresh baking, spirits, handcrafted items, prepared food, coffee, maple, jams, jellies and so much more.
During the spring, summer and fall seasons you can find us both inside and outside Market Hall. During the cooler months find our member vendors cozy inside our historic building in Downtown Truro. We are cooperative run which means our member vendors come together to help our market thrive. Come visit us this Saturday to see what we are all about!
Open each Saturday 8am -1pm
Becoming a Vendor:
Applications are open for 2024. We accept casual vendors year round and our cooperative membership runs from May 1 – April 30 each year. Find our online application under the heading ‘become a vendor’. Those interested in membership must first join us as a casual vendor before applying to become a member vendor. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to our Market Manager at trurofarmersmarket@gmail.com. We are happy to hear from interested producers at any time of the year! Current needs of the market include: fruit producers / orchards, produce farmers with unique offerings, seafood/fish, kombucha, ferments, wine, cider, mead, honey, pottery, knife sharpening and other services too!
Need a place to meet?
The Market Hall is available for rental on non-market days (Sunday through Friday). We currently book workshops, community events, small private events and weddings. We have non-profit rates to foster community connection in our space! Please email our Executive Director Cameron MacKay at director@trurofarmersmarket.com for more information.
